Charles White American, 1918-1979
Overview
Charles White dedicated his life and work to examining the histories and strengths of African-American culture. During his long and active career, White produced etchings, lithographs, drawings, paintings and murals. Primarily studies for larger works, White's small drawings and watercolors poignantly demonstrate the artist's draftsmanship as well as his devotion to working on paper.
