Katherine Boxall: Time and Place

Jerald Melberg Gallery proudly presents a solo exhibition of new abstract paintings by gallery artist Katherine Boxall.  Time & Place  features work inspired by the time Boxall recently spent between her studio in Austin, Texas, and her summer studio in New York City. The opening reception will be held at the gallery on Friday evening, October 27, with the artist in attendance from 6-8pm.   

The Canadian native holds a MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a BFA from Queen's University at Kingston.  Incorporating a mix of materials such as acrylic, spray paint, pastel and oil, Boxall creates lush, expressive paintings that exude conviction, energy and knowledgeable composition.  

The gallery is also pleased to announce that Couture Knots, representing some of the world’s most exclusive rug lines, in collaboration with the gallery and Katherine, will debut a hand knotted rug patterned after one of her paintings at the exhibition opening.
