Philip Mullen’s paintings explore the unique qualities of light and how light touches everything around it. He has been described as creating works with both thoughtful technique and carefree fluidity. Mullen’s work has been exhibited in such prestigious institutions as the Whitney Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Art, the Walker Art Center, the Greenville Museum of Art, the Columbia Museum of Art, the Gibbes Museum of Art and the Johnson Collection.
